Capnospot®
Capnospot® is a device that changes color upon detecting CO₂ and confirms the correct placement of the catheter during pneumothorax decompression.
Applications
- Confirmation of catheter placement and patency during needle decompression in tension pneumothorax.
- Continuous monitoring of catheter patency after decompression.
- Use in patients:
- Self-ventilating with progressive dyspnea, tachycardia, SpO₂ < 90%, hypotension, absent breath sounds, altered consciousness, or traumatic cardiac arrest.
- On mechanical ventilation with decreased compliance, acute hypoxemia, increased ventilatory requirements, subcutaneous emphysema, or unexplained hypotension.

Instructions for Use
The Pneumeric CapnoSpot device changes from a dark purple color to a bright yellow when CO₂ is detected.
