Thoracic Dressing

Halo® Vent

The Halo dressing is an occlusive patch designed for the treatment of open chest wounds (such as stab or gunshot wounds) that may cause an open or sucking pneumothorax.

It is made of a high-tack adhesive material that adheres even to wet, sweaty, or bloody skin.
It creates an airtight seal that prevents air from entering the thoracic cavity, allowing the lung to re-expand properly.
It is commonly supplied in kits of two units (for entry and exit wounds).

This is an essential device in tactical, military, prehospital, and emergency medical settings for the rapid management of chest injuries.

Features:

  • Quick, easy, and intuitive application
  • Patented hydrogel base
  • Stays in place once applied
  • Four large peripheral openings allow air and blood to drain
  • Large central vent enables rapid and accurate placement with reduced risk of wound blockage
  • Low-profile, highly flexible design for optimal adherence to body contours
  • Compact and easy to store in medical kits
